

新文学进入大学课堂以后,相关教育实践与批评活动形成互动机制。早期新文学教育推动了新文学批评生产,催生出第一代学院派批评家。伴随新文学学院化,文学批评具有了学科知识生产属性,获得大学学术生产体系的支持与保障。1930年代苏雪林的新文学批评在其新文学课程讲义的基础上生成,反过来又促进了讲义的扩散传播。在将讲义转化为批评文章公开发表前,苏雪林对其进行了审慎的修订,在此过程中形成了关于鲁迅、沈从文等作家的经典论述,这些论述在此后的课堂讲授及文学史著中被吸收纳用。一方面,新文学批评借助教育体制巩固其阐释权力;另一方面,新文学学科化在驱动批评产出的同时,批评活动也推动了讲义的完善深化,促进了讲义向经典文学史述的转型。新文学教育与批评的互动最终形成了一条新文学知识的“生产—传播—经典化”链条。
The Interaction between Modern Chinese Literature Education and Literary Criticism Focusing on Su Xuelin's Lecture Notes During Her Tenure at National Wuhan University

Abstract Once modern Chinese literature was incorporated into university curriculum, a dynamic interaction emerged between related educational practices and critical activities, with modern literature education facilitating critical production and fostering the first generation of academic critics. As modern Chinese literature became academically institutionalized, literary criticism took on the character of disciplinary knowledge production, and secured support from university's academic system. In the 1930s, Su Xuelin's modern literature criticism was developed on the basis of her lecture notes, and in turn facilitated the wider dissemination of these notes. Before publishing her lecture notes as formal critical essays, Su Xuelin conducted meticulous revision. In doing so, she developed classic interpretations of writers such as Lu Xun and Shen Congwen, which were subsequently incorporated into her classroom instruction and adopted by literary historiography. On the one hand, modern literature criticism consolidated its interpretive authority through the educational system; on the other hand, while the disciplinization of modern literature drove critical output, critical activities also contributed to the refinement and deepening of lecture notes, promoting their transformation into classic literary history works. Thus, the interaction between modern literature education and criticism formed a chain of production, dissemination and canonization for modern literature knowledge.
